Background

I joined Newcastle University in 1994 as a Project Secretary in the Department of Epidemiology & Public Health and have worked my way up to the position of Personal Assistant in IHS.  Before joining the University I held the positions of Secretary to the Personnel Manager in NatWest Area Office and as Branch Secretary at NatWest Northumberland Street.

Roles and Responsibilies 

Personal Assistant to Richard Thomson - Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health & Associate Dean of Patient & Public Engagement.  Diary support to Drs Tracy Finch and Tim Rapley (Senior Lecturers).  I also provide admin support for the Decision Making and Organisation of Care Theme & Medical Sociology Group.

Qualifications 

NVQ level 4 in Business Administration, A levels, London Chamber of Commerce Private Secretary's Certificate, ECDL and RSA Advanced qualifications in: Typing, Word Processing, Shorthand and Secretarial Duties.
