Background

Current Role and Responsibilities

I am the Newcastle Hub Administrator for the NIHR Research Design Service (NE).


Background

I joined Newcastle University in 2012 and have since worked in a variety of interesting and engaging roles. Initially working as Project Secretary in the Decision Making and Organisation of Care theme, I went on to do a secondment as PA in the Public Health Improvement theme of IHS before beginning the role of PA in the IHS Life-Course, Development and Ageing theme. My second secondment was as Programme Manager for the SEED (Supporting Excellence in End of Life Care in Dementia) Programme (Sept 2014 - July 2015). From July 2016 to January 2017, I was on secondment as Committees Administrator in the Medical Sciences Faculty Office and then returned to my substantive role in IHS.

Before joining the University, I spent three years living in Kolkata, India, where I taught English as well as designed and delivered a preparation course for the IELTS exam. I previously worked at London South Bank University as Research Group Secretary in the Families & Social Capital ESRC Research Group. While working full-time at London South Bank, I completed a part-time MA in Media Writing.
