Progression Review Progress

Progression Review Progress

Students’ progress is assessed regularly by a panel of assessors. The first progress review takes place eight months after registration for full-time students, and ten months after registration for part-time students.

The assessment process is managed via the e-portfolio and is initiated by the student. An overview of the process is as follows:

  • students submit a report on their progress and supporting information on their time schedule (e.g. Gantt chart) and an overview of their training and professional development activities
  • supervisors also complete a report
  • both the student’s and supervisors’ reports are read by the assessors
  • a face to face meeting takes place between the students and assessors

Following the meeting assessors make recommendations on the students’ ability to progress to the next stage of their studies.

The panel’s recommendations are reviewed and signed off by the Postgraduate research Student Coordinator and Dean of Postgraduate Studies.
