Undergraduate
IHS leads on two key components of Newcastle’s undergraduate medical programme.
This includes:
- Medicine in Community which delivers integrated social science, public health and primary care teaching in Years 1 and 2, and provides early clinical exposure to patients to every student
- Public Health which teaches the public health approach to health and relevance of wider determinants of health and disease at a population level
In addition, we lead the Health Care and Organisation of Practice module on the BSc Bioscience degree.
