Trademarks

The University has registered as trademarks:

  • Newcastle University logofour versions of the University logo (both colour and monochrome)
  • four versions of its shield of arms (both the colour and monochrome versions)
  • Newcastle University lionthe words University of Newcastle upon Tyne
    and The University of Newcastle upon Tyne
  • the words Newcastle University
  • the words University of Newcastle
    and The University of Newcastle
  • the words Newcastle upon Tyne University
  • the lion, as depicted in the shield of arms

These trademarks may only be used in applications approved by the University, for instance on official documents. They may not be used in any other context, for example on personal web pages, without the express consent of the University.
