Flag of ChinaNewcastle University is home to a diverse and cosmopolitan community with over 3,000 international students from over 110 countries worldwide.

We welcome new students from China each year, and there are currently around 800 Chinese students studying here on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Some of the more popular courses taken at undergraduate level by Chinese students are: Business, Management and Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Engineering, Biomedical and Biomolecular Biosciences programmes. At master's level, our Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Cross Cultural Communication and Accounting and Finance programmes are of particular interest to Chinese students.

Representatives from the International Office and academic schools visit China regularly to visit our partners, meet with students across the country, attend education exhibitions and conduct presentations in the offices of both the British Council and educational consultants.
