If you have completed secondary school education in your own country the Foundation programme provides you with academic preparation, English language and study skills in order to successfully prepare you for direct entry to the first year of an undergraduate course at university.

Holders of UK GCE A-Levels (normally with passes in a minimum of 3 subjects) will be considered for direct admission to Bachelor degree courses. Grades required can be found in the University's Undergraduate Prospectus
Holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma with 28 points or more will be considered for direct admission to Bachelor degree courses.
Students who have completed a recognised foundation programme with INTO or through another recognised institution will be considered for direct entry to Newcastle University undergraduate programmes.
