From our records, the first time a Brazilian student graduated from Newcastle was in 1965. The University has strong links with Brazil and we currently have over 130 students from Brazil at Newcastle.
We are pleased to offer the Newcastle University Brazil Scholarship award with a value of £7,500, payable toward the first year of tuition fees. This is available to high-achieving Brazilian students applying for postgraduate Master's degree programmes commencing in September 2015.
The Santander Latin America Scholarship has an award value of £5000, payable toward the first year of tuition fees. This is available to high achieving students from Brazil applying for postgraduate taught degree programmes commencing in September 2015. Newcastle University is a member of the Santander Universities Network, and these scholarships have kindly been provided by Santander.
Funding assistance for Latin American students is also available through Fundacion Beca.

Newcastle University is delighted to welcome undergraduates and postgraduates from Brazil who wish to study here as part of the Brazilian government's Science Without Borders (SWB) programme.
If you are interested in applying for the Science Without Borders programme in the UK, you must first apply to CAPES (Coordenacao de Aperfeicoamento de Pessoal de Nivel Superior) or CNPq (Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cientifico e Tecnologico) either directly or through your institution.
