Within Europe (ERASMUS)

The Erasmus Programme is an EU funded programme which encourages students in higher education to spend part of their studies in another European country.

Newcastle University has been awarded an Extended Erasmus Charter which allows the institution to participate in the Erasmus Programme.

Students have the opportunity to take a study placement at a partner University, and on some courses, the opportunity to do a work placement in another European Country.

We welcome Erasmus students from other institutions (incoming) and encourage our students to experience the exchange programme (outgoing).
