Paying your tuition fees

At registration all students are expected to make payment for applicable tuition fees. Alternatively, evidence must be shown that a sponsor will pay the fees. This evidence should be on official letter-headed note paper, addressed to the University with full details of the sponsorship.

Students who are responsible for payment of any or all of their tuition fees, and pay their tuition fees in full before or at the time of Registration will be eligible for a 2% discount, provided that payment is received before the end of registration week.

It’s possible for students who pay their own fees to pay in two instalments: one at or before registration in September and one at or before the start of semester two in January.

Card Payment

It is possible to pay by credit/debit card online, please visit our online payments page for further information. Please check in advance if your card can be accepted.

Banker’s draft

You can request a sterling cheque from your own bank if it has a British clearing bank. The cheque should be made out to ‘Newcastle University’. This is probably the safest way to bring money with you.

Bank transfer

If it is more convenient, you may pay your tuition fees by electronic transfer before you come to Newcastle. If you decide to pay by this method the University’s bank details are as follows:

Barclays Bank plc
Percy Street, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4QL
Sort Code: 20-59-42
Swift Code: BARCGB22 20-59-42
Name of account: University of Newcastle upon Tyne
