International Welcome - January 2013
This page will contain important pre-arrival information for all international students arriving in January 2013.
Semester Dates
Semester Two begins on 28th January 2013 and ends 14th June 2013.
Recommended arrival dates
You are recommended to arrive on 23rd January 2013 in order to start the semester at the appropriate time. The International Welcome programme takes place on 24th January 2013 and you will need to attend this programme. If you are staying in University accommodation, please check when your tenancy agreement starts. If you wish to arrive before the tenancy agreement starts, then you will have to arrange alternative accommodation.
International Welcome programme
This is an induction programme of events organized for all new international students who will be arriving in January 2013. The majority of participants are taking a postgraduate research degree, study abroad programme, Non-EU Exchange programme or Erasmus programme. The International Welcome programme includes:
- Meet and Greet Service - for all new international students arriving at Newcastle Airport
- Information Sessions - topics covered range from how to register for your course, pay your tuition fees and how our support services helps you
