English Language Courses
At Newcastle University we have specific English language requirements. It is very important that all our students have a good command of English in order for them to benefit from our degree programmes. Our experience shows us that students need to have a good ability with English Language to be successful in completing our degrees and enjoying their time in both the University and the city.
If you need to improve your English before beginning your degree programme, you can join one of the English language courses offered by our INTO Newcastle University Centre. INTO English language courses run throughout the year and offer regular intakes with flexible course durations.
INTO Newcastle University also provides a range of free In-Sessional English classes during the academic year for international students registered on a degree programme at the University
The University also has a Language Resource Centre that is open to anyone who wants to learn or improve a language.
If you are worried about your ability in English you should seek advice - it may be possible, for example, to be tested by the British Council in your own country.
