Student Wellbeing

Coming to live in a foreign country alone can be a daunting experience. We understand this and provide a wide range of support and advice to our students.

For financial support, we offer students support with fee payment and advice on the cost of living in Newcastle. Our Cost of Living advice sheet gives a breakdown of all the various costs you can expect to incur during your time in Newcastle.

As well as this, our Disability Support team offers confidential advice to current and prospective students with a range of disabilities, such as: dyslexia, sensory support, medical conditions, and mobility and mental health issues.

For students bringing children, we also give advice on childcare support during your time in Newcastle.

Many of these services are offered by our Student Wellbeing service who can also provide advice on counselling and mental health, dyslexia, faith, fees, funding and finance, healthcare and medical matters and general wellbeing

Finally, our Student Progress Service, based in our brand new King’s Gate building offer a helpdesk service to students who have queries about, examinations, scheduling and visas. They can provide documents confirming student status, statements of qualification and transcripts of study. They also provide information on hardship funding and bursaries. In addition Student Progress administers all University concessions.
