Donate to Neuroscience at Newcastle University
The Institute is very grateful to the many individuals and charitable organisations that support our research through sponsorship, donations and fundraising. This support has helped to fund:
- major laboratory refurbishment and equipment purchases
- initiatives to help us appoint world-leading research staff
- studentships to enable training and research conducted by younger staff
- and travel that has promoted both our international partnerships and our involvement in scientific meetings
Recent examples of this development funding include:
- the Lena Teague Bequest which has funded research projects and the refurbishment of laboratories to support work on the causes and treatment of schizophrenia; funding from the Wolfson Foundation to enable establishment of state-of-science imaging and recording facilities to study human brain tissue
- funding from the UK Sasakawa Foundation and Daiwa Foundation to support our partnership with the RIKEN Brain Sciences Institute in Japan.
