How to Apply

Information for prospective students, including application procedures can be found in our Postgraduate Prospectus. You should apply using our online application form.

Additionally, there are further ways to apply for study opportunities at the Institute of Neuroscience. These include advertised studentships, direct applications and ad hoc applications. We also have information on entrance requirements.

Direct Applications

You may also directly contact potential supervisors about whether they have any PhD opportunities. If there is an available studentship, you must still make an online application.

Ad Hoc Applications

Students can make a general online postgraduate application to study in the Faculty of Medical Sciences. These applications do not need to specify a supervisor or course, but will contain general information about you and your research interests. If you wish to make a general application for neuroscience, please specify neuroscience.

Selection Process

If your application is short listed then you will be invited for an interview. All references will be obtained prior to your interview taking place. If you are successful then you will receive a formal offer letter from the Graduate School.

Fees

To find further information about fees, please refer to the Fees Calendar. Please note that fees vary dependent on the band and level of lab work involved.
