I studied Cognitive Science at the University of Osnabrueck (Germany) and graduated in 2008. In this period, I have been trained in Neurobiology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Physics and Neuroinformatics. My Bachelor Thesis concentrated on the analysis of attentional capture by masked colour singletons. At the same time, I worked as a research assistant analysing neurophysiological data, offering technical-, and system-administrative support. Subsequently, I focused on Neuroimaging, Electrophysiology and Neurophysics within the MSc program of Neuroscience at the University of Bremen (Germany). During the last year of the master’s degree, I recorded and analysed the neuronal spiking dynamics in response to motion direction, speed and speed changes in macaque visual area MT. I am currently enrolled in my first year of an MRes/PhD programme in Systems Neuroscience at Newcastle University. In the future, I intend to combine the recording/acquisition of neuronal data and modelling approaches.
