Introduction and area of work:

Paralysis of limbs as a result of stroke or spinal cord injuries is a devastating condition for affected patients. In our lab, we investigate methods to use stimulation of the spinal cord in order to generate functional upper limb movements, such as grasping and moving objects.

Techniques:

Electrophysiology, mathematical modeling, neural prosthetics, neural plasticity, movement control
