I studied for my BEng in Engineering and Business Management and my MSc in Biomedical Engineering at Surrey University, graduating from that in 2005. After working in product development in the medical devices industry, I started my PhD at Newcastle in 2007.
I am following the differentiation of neuronal progenitors into 2D networks using a combination of multi-electrode arrays, atomic force microscopy and fluorescence microscopy. I am interested in the development of these networks and ultimately how function follows form.
