Children's Vision
The aim of our work is to improve the clinical and cost effectiveness of the treatment of visual disorders in children, particularly the common conditions of strabismus and amblyopia. We hope to improve the treatment these conditions, which currently is often burdensome to children and families, and demonstrate how to achieve excellent results while causing minimal disruption to families. This should also improve resource use in the NHS.
Our work covers clinical trials, development of new outcome measures, qualitative research, and, in collaboration with neuroscientific colleagues, investigation of the underlying causes of strabismus and amblyopia.
