I am a Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist in the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology, Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne. My clinical and research interest is in the neurophysiology of mitochondrial disease.
I hold an Honorary Clinical senior Lecturer post in the Institute of Neuroscience and NIHR clinical research funding. My current research interests include: determining the origin of fatigue in mitochondrial disease; the mechanism of seizure generation in mitochondrial disease; and in developing clinical tools to predict which patients are at risk of developing epilepsy.
