LATEST NEWS - Email services should now be restored for all users.

Although services have been restored for the majority of users, some are still experiencing difficulties logging on and accessing their Email.
As part of our investigations we have dismounted a database containing approx 260 users. Whilst this database is dismounted, these users will not be able to access their email. The service should be restored for all other users during the current investigation.
A list of the users currently affected is available to download.
Update 13:20: Email services should now be restored for the majority of users. However, a small number are still experiencing problems.
Update 16:35: Unfortunately a small number of users (approx 250) are still experiencing problems accessing their Email. Our technical staff are currently working with Microsoft to resolve the issue. However, due to the nature of the problem it is unlikely that service will be restored for affected users this evening.

Update 09:45: Unfortunately a small number of users are still experiencing Email problems. We have located the fault and our technical staff are working with Microsoft to find a resolution.
Update 10:00: Diagnostic tests to assist with the resolution of the Email problems are currently being completed. As a result, a significant number of users may experience temporary disruption to their Email services from 10:15 for short periods of time.
We apologise for any additional disruption this may cause and aim to keep any disruption to services to an absolute minimum.
Update 14:00: Investigations are ongoing to try to determine the cause of the fault which is still affecting a number of users. At present time, these have not been conclusive, and email access for these users will continue to be intermittent.
Update 17:00: Detailed investigations have enabled us to isolate the problem and email services should now be restored for the majority of users. However, we are continuing to monitor the situation closely.
During the recent downtime, emails sent to the 250 users on the affected database will have bounced back to the sender, with a notification that the delivery failed.
Email sent to all other affected users, held back as a result of the recent problems, should now have been delivered successfully.

Update 08:15: Email services have remained stable throughout the night for the majority of users, however, we will continue to monitor the situation closely.
