SAS Beginners Course

ISS offers Beginners SAS training for postgraduate students

ISS is delighted to offer Beginner's SAS training for Newcastle University postgraduate students.

SAS is a powerful program that is widely used in industry. It is more than just a statistical program.

After completing this course you should:

  • have an appreciation of the SAS system
  • be able to create an SAS data file from scratch
  • open an Excel file in SAS
  • be able to carry out some simple analysis on the data file
  • be able to use SAS Enterprise Guide
  • be able to interpret the output from the analyses
  • be able to use SAS with confidence

Postgraduate students with little or no experience of using SAS are invited to register for the course by clicking on the link below.

The course is given by Dr Simon Kometa, ISS Statistical Applications Adviser.

Unfortunately, we can not accept NHS Staff on these courses for free.

Cost: Free to Newcastle University postgraduate students, but an administrative charge will apply if you are offered a place and you fail to attend without notice.

Venue: ISS (UCS) Training Suite, (not the Cluster Room), First Floor, Herschel Building.
