Information and news relating to the Campus Windows Deployment Services (WDS) and Remote Installation Services (RIS)
The Infrastructure Systems Group (ISG) provides RIS and WDS servers to enable the automated installation of Windows operating systems on a variety of PC and server hardware. The following information and linked pages are aimed at Computing Officers who are using these systems:
Driver requests for any of the current RIS or WDS images should be made using the following form: https://crypt.ncl.ac.uk/helpdesk/windows-drivers/ which automatically submits a request for the attention of ISG. Your request will be easier to process if you provide exact information about the driver you want to install, for example: precise makes/models of machine or device, RM serial numbers or DELL service tags. Better still, if you have a copy of the drivers please make them available to us.
