Accessibility Checkpoints

Priority Levels

Each checkpoint has been assigned a priority level:

  • Priority 1: important points which ensure a minimum level of basic access
  • Priority 2: build on access and, if met will improve ease of use

Categories

Checkpoints are grouped in the following categories:

  1. Keyboard accessible
  2. Provide users with the ability to modify display and timing
  3. When messages are conveyed in means other than text provide alternatives
  4. Predictable and consistent
  5. Useable with supported assistive technology
  6. Make accessibility features discoverable, documented and accessible
  7. Web based applications
