Almost all PCs on campus bought with University funds are "Campus Managed Desktop" PCs, i.e. they have the Windows system provided by ISS which ensures security, proper networking, protected filestore, and automated system management.
There are minimum requirements for running the Managed Desktop which should be checked before making any purchase.
