Linux on Campus

Getting Support

The ISS Helpdesk can provide limited support for users of Redhat-based Linux distributions (eg: RHEL, CentOS or Fedora) on campus. Users of other distributions may be able to find support on the "self-help" unix-users email list.

Getting Linux

The FTP Mirror Server provides a local repository of popular Linux distributions and update packages. In addition, the UK Mirror Service provided by the University of Kent hosts a large archive of Linux distributions and other open source software.
