The ISS Campus Macintosh file server

Keane, the campus file server is a repository of application & OS updates, useful utilities & demos.

Of particular interest are the folders "10.4 Updates", "10.3 Updates" etc. Take "10.4 Updates" as an example, inside this folder are all the necessary system & security updates to keep any Mac running this version of OS X up-to-date.

Accessing Keane

  • Select Connect to Server from the Go menu in the Finder
  • Enter keane.ncl.ac.uk in the Server Address field
  • Connect as a Guest
    connect as guest

  • Double click on the share MacOS X

Please note that if you are using the wireless or docking services that rely on establishing a VPN connection then this method of connecting will not work.
