Audio Visual Services - Teaching roomsCurtis Auditorium

We provide technical support to over 180 centrally bookable spaces across 22 buildings on campus and the vast majority of these rooms have state of the art audio visual and IT equipment permanently installed.

Equipment & IT facilities available

Every teaching room we support has permanently installed data projection or LCD/Plasma display facilities available with the ability to project from either the internal PC, a personal laptop and on occassions a visualiser (document camera).

All supported rooms that have data projection facilities have a computer permanently installed which runs the University Campus Managed Desktop so you will be able to access files on your H:/ drive as well as using portable media such as USB pens or CD/DVDs. All our teaching room PCs run Windows 7 and a limited amount of software including Microsoft Office 2010.

Please note that you will need your University username and password to access the IT system.

Support

We design rooms to be 'self-operational' with full user instructions available both in the room and online but can also provide personal instruction, guidance and support to academic staff where necessary.

All of our rooms have a helpline telephone installed and we have invested in personal mobile radios and remote management facilities to enable us to respond to help calls very quickly, either in person or remotely over the network.
