The Streaming Server allows you to deliver audio, video or multimedia presentations via the web. Streaming means that the clients receive your material in real time without having to wait for it to be downloaded.
Any member of staff can use this service to deliver prerecorded media for which they hold the copyright or have the permission of the copyright holder to use.
You need to register for the streaming service.
We offer several services via the Streaming Server:
NUVision is an automated service which converts uploaded media files to a form suitable for transmission over the web. It provides you with embed code to publish the files in web pages, Blackboard and VLEs.
Registered users of the streaming service have access a personal folder on the streaming server. You can copy prepared files into an this folder and publish direct links to these files or or reference them in web pages.
The server may be used for live broadcasts for educational or publicity purposes.
