There are three main types of videoconferencing solutions available:-
- Hardware videoconferencing via dedicated managed videoconferencing suites provide a reliable and high quality experience and are generally the preferred option for formal and high-stakes meeting
- Software videoconferencing (also known as desktop or web conferencing) using software such as Lync, Skype and Adobe Connect provide flexible videoconferencing solutions using standard hardware and internet technology
- Teleconferencing is an easy to use and reliable alternative where video is not required or there are potential bandwidth concerns
