Email and Calendaring
Every member of the University is assigned with a primary email address and mailbox in the form ...@newcastle.ac.uk
Email and calendaring services are based on Microsoft Exchange Server.
- Staff mailboxes are hosted on-premises on Exchange 2010.
- Student mailboxes are hosted off-site on Microsoft Office365, a 'cloud' service that includes an online version of Microsoft Exchange.
Note: As of Summer 2013, new Research Postgraduate student email will be hosted on Office365. Returning Research Postgraduate student mailboxes will remain on Exchange 2010.
