Your primary University email address is of the format: @newcastle.ac.uk
Examples:
Students will usually have initials.lastname@newcastle.ac.uk and staff firstname.lastname@newcastle.ac.uk.
Email that you send outside of the organization will use this form of your address. If you subscribe to a service (e.g. mailing lists) which asks you to provide your email address as an identifier, you should use the @newcastle.ac.uk form of your address.
You also have a short form of address: @ncl.ac.uk, which can be used, however mail will always be sent as @newcastle.ac.uk. Our email gateway servers ensure that messages are re-written when sending outside of the University.
There are also internal server email addresses, which you don’t see.
