Smartcards
All University staff, students and patrons are required to carry a University Smartcard which will be issued upon commencement of your course or contract.
Smartcard Access
Your Smartcard allows access to the following University services:
- The University Library
- Photocopying Services
- 24 hour Computer Clusters
- The Centre for Physical Recreation & Sport (fee payable)
- Language Resource Centre
- University Car Parking (fee payable)
The following University faculties and schools have Access Control systems which operate in conjunction with the Smartcard. Access to these locations is at the discretion of the school concerned; please contact the local system administrator if you wish to be considered for access.
- The Institute of Nanotechnology (INEX)
- Faculty of Arts and Cultures - Centre for Music Studies
- The Faculty of Science, Agriculture & Engineering (SAgE)
- The School of Computing Science (Daysh Building - double doors facing Claremont Tower)
- School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape
- The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
- School of Biology
- Information Systems & Services
