Clusters and Study Rooms

Clusters

As part of the ongoing program of refurbishments we have improved the accessbility of our clusters.  The majority of refurbished clusters have

  • height adjustable desks (these are signposted as EasyAccess workstations)
  • wheelchair accessible printer
  • A standard set of specialist software

Study Rooms

In conjuction with the Library and Student Wellbeing Service we support 5 bookable study rooms situated in the University Libraries.  To be able to access these rooms students need a referral from Student Wellbeing Service.

In the Robinson Library the Accessible Study Rooms are on level 3 (rooms 304 and 313) and on level 4 (rooms 404 and 413). The Walton Library houses one Accessible Study Room.  

In each room you will find:

  • A cluster PC with standard cluster software (including Texthelp Read and Write, Mindview and Zoomtext)
  • JAWS screen reading software
  • Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice recognition software & headset microphone

Additional facilites are available in some:

  • CCTV  - Robinson Library room 304, and Walton Library study room
  • Height adjustable desk  - Robinson Library 304, 413
  • VPN Docking Points - Robinson Library 313 and 413
