Video Streaming (NUVision)
Streaming makes it possible to watch video in ‘real time’ without having to wait for files to be downloaded.
We offer two main services on the streaming server.
- NUVision Upload and Media Library - (similar to "YouTube")
- Access to a Personal Folder on the Streaming Server (for web publishers and advanced users)
NUVision Media Library is open to all staff at the university. The service converts uploaded videos and provides you with an easy method of embedding the content in services such as Blackboard, Blogs etc.
Personal folders are more suited to video editors and web publishers. You take responsibility for converting videos to an appropriate size/format suited to the web. You add media to your folder by dragging and dropping from a campus PC. You need to register in order to create a personal folder.
Any member of staff can use the video streaming service to deliver media for which they hold the copyright (or have the permission of the copyright holder to use).
