The File Drop-Off service provides members of the University with the ability to share large data files securely with others where the size of the data file is too large to be practicably sent by other means (such as an email attachment).
The File Drop-Off service is available to all members of the University. Files may be shared with external users, however external users may not share files with other external users.

The ISS maintenance period is 07:00-09:00 every Tuesday. Further planned maintenance times will be publicised in advance if there will be a disruption to the service.
System housekeeping is performed nightly; unclaimed file drop offs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
File drop-offs are backed up daily.

All incidents relating to both aspects of this service will be handled according to the ISS Incident Management and Major Incident Management processes.
