Valuing Social Values (VSV) Network engages the third sector in co-productive process to develop social measurement agenda

With the new emphasis on 'localism' those organisations operating in the emerging 'Big Society' will be challenged to demonstrate their value. During September 2010 the VSV network began the development of a tool for organisations thinking about Social Measurement. KITE members Rob Wilson, Chris Ford and Jane Gibbon have been working with partners from the Co-Operatives North East, Pentagon Partnership, North East Social Enterprise Partnership (NESEP) and Voluntary Organisations Network North East (VONNE) to engage members of the sector in the co-production of the tool. Over 50 participants have engaged in the developmental workshops. The aim is to support organisations responding to the increasing demand to demonstrate their value to various commissioners and procurers. For more information contact Chris.Ford@ncl.ac.uk
