Library is rated highly in student surveys

Newcastle University Library has been given a satisfaction rating of 93% by final year students in this year's National Student Survey (NSS). This is an improvement of 3% on the NSS rating in 2012, and places the Library amongst the top five university libraries in the UK for the first time.

The NSS result follows exceptionally high scores in the most recent International Student Barometer (ISB). International Students in the University gave a satisfaction rating of 92% for the "online library" and 94.9% for the "physical library", the sixth highest rating amongst participating universities in the UK.

University Librarian, Wayne Connolly, said: "We are delighted by the ratings that students have given us in recent surveys. The staff in the Library have worked incredibly hard to improve facilities and services, and it is clear that students appreciate the efforts we have made to support their learning and to make the Library a place they enjoy visiting."
