- The Journal of Biology has a special issue (v8(1)) of articles on various aspects of Darwin’s work. “Paul Harvey argues that Darwin was an accomplished 21st-century biologist and marvels that in his extensive studies on the inheritance of variation he failed to discover Mendel's laws and Jonathan Howard explains why Darwin failed where Mendel succeeded. More special Darwin articles explore the legacies of Huxley and Haldane and the marriage of evolutionary genomics and modern molecular biology.”
- The International Journal of Cell Biology special issue (v41 (2)) includes articles such as “Darwin’s legacy in modern bioscience” By Joanna Kargul and “Molecular and cellular evolution: a celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin” by John van Wyhe.
