If a book that you want is on loan you can request it (make a hold request) yourself, directly from Library Search without having to ask at the service desk.

You need to log in to Library Search to make a hold. Staff and Students login with your Campus ID and Password. NHS/External users login with your Smartcard U number and library password.

• Search for the item you want
• Click on locations/request
• If all items are on loan, choose an item and click Hold then click Hold

You will be notified by email when the item is available and can collect it from the Holds Collection shelf in the Student Texts Collection in the Robinson Library. For Walton and Law Library books, ask in those libraries.
