We are an established hand Bindery, having been part of Newcastle University since the 1950's. We always endeavour to give a professional, competitively priced service. Find us on Level 1 in the Robinson Library and talk to our helpful team.
Hard binding
Thesis - we can hard bind thesis and dissertations all bound to each individual university specifications or establishment.
Newcastle University - Guidelines for the Submission and Format of Theses. External students please advise us of your specifications.
Journals - we bind journals and periodicals for internal and external customers. Reports and Presentation books that are unusual sizes.
We offer an excellent choice of cloth colours for hard binding.
Soft binding
Thesis, dissertations, reports and assignments can be bound while-you-wait in a choice of soft binding styles e.g. Velobind, Spiral and Fastback (ask at Print Services reception for advice).
Rebinds and repairs
- We can hard bind your paperbacks
- Rebind your cloth bound book
- Repair a damaged spine sympathetically (ask at Print Services reception for advice)
Folders and boxes
We will make bespoke boxes and slip cases to house books, CD's or manuscripts

Above prices include in gold lettering name, degree & year on the spine and two lines of lettering on the front board. Additional lettering is charged at £2 per line.
Soft Binding

Bound while you wait. Approximately 15 minutes - 1 hour maximum during busy times.
Soft binding - glued or sewn with card cover and lettering on cloth spine. £7.50 (Allow 24hrs).
