In a Green Shade

The exhibition for September 1999 was called "In a Green Shade"

"God Almighty first planted a garden. And indeed, it is the purest of human pleasures" wrote Francis Bacon (1561-1626) in his essay "Of Gardens". A like delight in flowers and trees is evident throughout the centuries.
