Letterbooks
Newcastle University Library's Special Collections has, on deposit, the letter books of Charles Edward Trevelyan (1797-1870). Letter books are something of a curiosity today and typically take one of two forms. They may comprise copies of letters which have been sent and received by the compiler, or, they may comprise copies of letters which the compiler has collected including copies of historic letters which were in circulation, copies of published letters, and copies of letters written by famous people.
