Reading room and opening hours

Special Collections Reading Room

You will need to consult most of the materials held in Special Collections in the dedicated Reading Room on Level 1 of the Robinson Library. This room is staffed during opening hours so that you have easy access to knowledgeable staff if you need it.

The forms that you will need to complete for requesting collection items, photocopies, digitisation and permission to take photographs are available in the Reading Room as paper forms although they are also available electronically under Using our collections. Some of our archives have hard-copy catalogues and handlists only and these are also available in the Reading Room. You may consult the catalogues without an appointment.
