Once a user has identified the items they wish to consult from the Collections Guide they must submit a request form for each item they require.
External users are required to make these requests two working days before visiting to avoid disappointment and maximise their research time with us.
Two collections are made daily Monday to Friday, at 9am and 2:15pm. Requests made 2:15pm to 9am will normally be satisfied by 10am. Requests made am to 2:15pm will normally be satisfied by 3:15pm.
Users who have submitted requests electronically will be notified by e-mail that requested items are available for consultation.
Items from certain collections can only be consulted in the Reading Room within the Robinson Library. If you have requested any of these items, you will be informed of this condition when notified that the item is available. External users must consult all Special Collections materials in the Reading Room. Other items, which users will collect from the Service Desk on Level 2 of the Robinson Library do not need to be consulted in the Reading Room but must not be taken outside the library building.
