Copyright

Special Collections staff can advise you about whether an item remains in copyright, and whether it is covered by the “fair dealing” agreement. The onus is upon users to obtain copyright permissions, where necessary.

Copyright legislation is very complex. For further guidance, see:

  • Padfield, T. Copyright for archivists and users of archives. [Richmond: Public Record Office, c.2001] 025.12 PAD
