Information Literacy Toolkit

The Information Literacy Toolkit contains a range of resources, ideas and links which you can use to help students become more information literate. You can use materials just as they are or tailor them to your own teaching style and your students' learning needs. The Toolkit is structured on the SCONUL seven pillars model of information literacy and you can use our programme structure to put together a series of IL related activities within the context of your own subject teaching. Each activity in the Toolkit is coded to tell you which standard and specific criteria in the programme structure it satisfies and which other criteria it is associated with.

The Toolkit is constantly developing and links to resources are being added all the time.

If you use materials and/or ideas from the Toolkit in your teaching, please can you let us know by emailing Moira Bent If you repurpose any of the materials please contribute your version to the Toolkit too. If you have any other materials to contribute to the Toolkit we will delighted to add them - just contact Moira Bent or your Liaison Librarian
