Departmental Committee Reports
These Committees are ad hoc advisory bodies appointed
to investigate and report on matters upon which new legislation
may be desirable. They are appointed by the Minister concerned,
and the report is addressed to him or his successor.
Many reports are issued as Command
Papers and the use of the chairman's name as a popular
designation is common practice.
Departmental Committee reports not issued as Command
Papers can be found in the library
catalogue and are shelved in the Dewey sequence.
