Special Collections

  • 'Special Collections' covers collections of books, manuscripts, maps, archives, wood-blocks, etc. of particular value to the academic researcher. You can see the Special collections website here
  • An illustrated guide is available from the Main Counter on Level 2 of the Robinson Library, the Special Collections Reading Room (Enright Room) on Level 1 of the Robinson Library or the Walton Library and there is also a printed guide.
  • For further guidance, please email lib-specenq@ncl.ac.uk or consult Special Collections staff in the Enright Room on Level 1 of the Robinson Library (opening hours 9.30 a.m. - 4.45 p.m. Monday - Friday).
  • For more information about other research material including online, microform and printed publications see this link
  • The Microform Research Room is on Level 3. Most of the microform material is kept in this room, and there are microfilm and microfiche readers and printers.
