Springer e-Book Trial

We are currently running an e-book trial with the publisher Springer. The trial gives us access to the full-text of almost 20,000 English-language monographs, textbooks, handbooks, atlases and book series published primarily in the scientific, technical and medical subject areas, between 2005-2010.

The titles can be accessed via SpringerLink or by individual title via the library catalogue. Once searching within the Springer site choose 'Books', the green flag indicates the titles we have full-text access to.

Key features of the Springer e-books are:

  • Instant access to the full-text (no need to request a loan)
  • Chapters can be downloaded and saved as pdf's
  • Multiple concurrent users
  • No Digital Rights Management
  • Fully indexed and searchable to chapter level
